If I cannot prove something with solid evidence is it therefore absolutely false?

I took a survey at work and was asked to to pre-taste a new food product line that is scientifically proven that it is going to taste good to all people, since I was the only one out of the initial group of 450 people who said I disliked it, and when they asked for proof, there was no way to provide it, so now I am labeled a liar and and/or an idiot. Of course the shareholders want an 100% conclusive guarantee before buying into the concept...If I cannot prove something with solid evidence is it therefore absolutely false?
scientifically proven that it is going to taste good to all people

this fallacious statement invalidates your post, I rate this :

I just answered something with a similar response. I have always believed that nothing in life is 100% true, and everything is a theory. Humans created the terms 'evidence, proof, facts.' It was society that in general agreed to call such things 'facts,' but how do we know for certain that everything we consider factual is in fact 100% true? There will always be someone to play devil's advocate and question everything in life, and many things never have a real answer (generally more philosophical). But then again, I am just one person with one theory.

(My recent response is to the question under the same category ';Does it annoy you when people state things they know nothing about?'; Maybe you'll understand that one better; more thought out)

People always want 100%, but perfection does not exist; water doesnt event 'taste' good to all people of the Earth; we may all need it to survive, but that does not mean they like it. Plus, at a research student, this is a pretty small population to test something on, and who's to say people are not making up their answer for whatever reason they have?
If someone advertised somethin that was 100% scientifically proven to agree with something such as taste preference, I would immediately chalk that up as a product never to buy. U can't possibly please 100% of people on something so relative as preference to taste.

That would be like painting a picture and saying it was sure to impress every art critic in the world as a masterpiece.

Oh yeah...and the only liars and idiots are the ones callin u that.

I would tell those shareholders to sell sell sell before they get burnt.

@ CorruptedSpirit,VT, AM Associate: Love your EPIC FAIL...it rocks.
I'm getting many questions here. Unfortunately you can't prove it. If you're giving your honest opinion what else can you do? I'm sorry but its pretty funny (not your feelings)--I guess their ';scientifically proven'; food product was shot to hell. Good for you don't cave in to pressure. This is what I try to explain when someone asks me about my faith. Do you see why people get defensive when their beliefs are questioned? I am rambling someone else out there help me here....
no it is not. like for example i am a Christian i live by faith not by sight. why? because i know know its true, there's just no way it cant be true if you think there is...well that just to bad because you're wrong. as for that food, does it like change favor or something? cause that's weird and i am a extremely picky person extremely.i dunoo if they like study people's taste buds and some other stuff then maybe it is true. God Bless
If you are talking about GOD, there is ample proof. That's the problem. If there was no GOD then there would be no flood of Christian bashers trying to make him and his followers go away. I think what you mean is. You can't prove something when the person/s requesting the proof will not accept the facts as they are.
Can you see the wind blowing %26amp; I don't mean the effects of the wind, Can you see that tree fall 1000 miles away from you,Can you see yourself in 20 yrs from now maybe in a casket, No, But death still exist, can yo see me, no, But do I exist, Yes. Go back %26amp; retake your survey.
That would be an example of the Argument from Ignorance fallacy.

Either:

1) Something is false because it hasn't been proven.

2) Something is true because it hasn't been disproven.

They're both equally fallacious.
What precisely was the question in the survey?

Was it, ';Do you like it?';

If yes, then an opinion was being sollicited.

Opinions don't need solid evidence.

That's why they are called opinions.
Ask them if it is possible to have a medical condition that messes up the sense of taste. Then ask them to prove you, and others, do not have that condition.
%26gt; if I cannot prove something with solid evidence is it therefore absolutely

%26gt; false?

No, but if you can prove something with solid evidence, it's absolutely correct.
Then it hasn't been scientifically proven that it is going to taste good to all people, has it? This looks like you're making it up.
If you have faith, it is not. In John 20:29: 'Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed'.
Most human experiences are not provable, How do we prove love, happiness, compassion, mercy and understanding.
That makes no sense how are you a liar for not liking some type of food you can only prove it by saying that you dont like the food.
No it just means you have an unsubstatiated opinion.
That's just like Love. It's pretty hard to prove.
No

You cannot PROVE that anyone loves you. NO SOLID PROOF.

Gifts, etc prove nothing.
this eludes to.... ummmmm . I GOT IT . We can't prove that God exists right ??? same ole same ole
