If you had undeniable evidence that Christian beliefs are false, would you go public with it?

Even if it was a non-profit situation or that it was the kind of evidence that can鈥檛 directly benefit human advancement in any way. You know, if the only purpose going public with this evidence would serve would be to make fools out of millions of people worldwide and billions of people throughout history鈥ould you do it?If you had undeniable evidence that Christian beliefs are false, would you go public with it?
It would not matter because to believe it would imply you are capable of reason. Many devout Christians are incapable of reason and therefore would not accept irrefutable proof against their religion.If you had undeniable evidence that Christian beliefs are false, would you go public with it?
Most definitely, as it is stands right now there are billions of fools believing in some imaginary friend. I would like to stop that.
There is NO evidence Christianity is false. There is evidence to support that it may be true, but ultimately, you must have faith that it is true. You must use your heart to establish what is true because God wants you think with your brain and also your heart.
As a man who grew up Catholic and then grew away from the church I find this an extremely interesting question. I have definite problems with organized religion and the way men in power use religion and faith to coerce the masses. The have since the beginning of time and will always continue to do so. Faith and spirituality can be a strong attribute in a singular person, but in greater populations it can be used to do great harm. Therefore I would let the world know the truth if such evidence existed. Hopefully it would crush the problems caused by blind followers while individual's with ';true'; faith would endure.
Yes, truth is always preferable.

But I would also know that I'd be throughly demonized, slandered, discredited and probably assaulted. So the world wouldn't change, but morally speaking I wouldn't be able to ignore my findings.
Sure.....but as of now there is no undeniable evidence.....in fact the Bible itself is undeniable evidence that God is real....but all people can do is deny, deny, deny.....what would you do if YOU had undeniable evidence that Christianity was the way to go...would YOU help spread it?
There is certainly evidence that suggests that certain lines of scripture may not record factual, historical events, but that's hardly the same as proving that Christian beliefs are false.

How do you prove that ';Do unto others'; or ';Thou shalt not kill'; is false?

The truth of those statements lies in the person who receives them. They can be wholly true for one person, even if another person doesn't believe them.
This is one of those hypothetical questions like ';If you knew we were actually living on the moon, would you tell some one else about it?';

There is PLENTY of proof that Christianity is true, but people just simply refuse to believe it - for one and only one reason - they don't WANT to believe it.

Jesus said it like this, ';People refuse to come to me because their deeds are evil.'; (HEY! I didn't say it, JESUS did! Take it up with Him!)

Jesus said ';I am Truth'; and ';I am Life'; and made other such claims.

In his famous book Mere Christianity, C. S. Lewis makes this statement, ';A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on the level with a man who says he is a poached egg - or he would be the devil of hell. You must take your choice. Either this was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us.';
I'm a Christian. If I were presented with proven, undeniable evidence that my religious beliefs were utterly false, then yes, I'd go public. It would seem to be the ethical thing to do. I wouldn't become a reverse evangelist about it, pestering people and throwing it in their faces, but I'd certainly be willing to publish a paper or appear in interviews presenting the newfound evidence. I would do it for the sake of passing along information, and never for the sake of embarrassing or making a fool out of anyone.
Yes

But

There would always be the question

Where did we come from?

And how did the brain cell know this is how it is to do its job in communicating with my eye ball?

And what happens to me when I die?

But there would not be the conflict caused by one religion with another as there is today.

We would find something else to take its place to start a war with. Your eyes are not blue and I do not like the way you dress in those blue pants etc etc
Yes i would definatley let the entire world know....
If I had the knowledge I would share it, most likely all believers will deny the evidence. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and respect the points of view of others, therefore respect the evidence, but also I would have to accept their rejection or acceptance of the evidence. As far as Lizz Bemiz(the answer above mine) Jesus was not born in December, and the star they followed was Polaris also Known as ';The North Star';.
oh don't you just wish......get a life
I would go public with it just as I would go public with information that Christian beliefs are undeniably true. People deserve to know.
There would never be evidence to prove it wrong so why ask
yes
What purpose would that serve? People need to believe in something beyond themselves.
Honestly? You make me doubt.

I mean, it would lift the burden of an unworkable religion.. but it would empower the Muslims...

and it would make my mother cry. I don't think I could.

edit:

1) C.S.Lewis was full of crap. I mean completely full.

2)

-Where did we come from?

Our respective mothers.

-And how did the brain cell know this is how it is to do its job in communicating with my eye ball?

Since your eye is technically part of your brain, that is not a very difficult question.

-And what happens to me when I die?

Nothing. That is more or less what dying is all about: nothing happens to you anymore.
Why? What good would that do? I say; someones opinion (even if filled with evidence) of me is none of my business. :-) lol
Absolutely. Most people wouldn't believe it anyway. The truth IMO is always preferable to falst belief.
but there is no evidence so your argument is not realistic

and there never would be
Yes.
There are UNDENIABLE facts. Astrology can be answered for many of the Christian's key beliefs. BY THE WAY, those facts are public. Stubborn bible clenchers decide to believe in a guy they have no proof existed are too afraid of a contrast of what they've been TOLD to believe that they pretend it's not there, it's not real.

About Jesus' ';birth';.. The sun, which rises in the east every morning... Jesus' birth was signaled by a star in the east and he was adorned by 3 kings. That star in the east is, Sirius. On December 24th, Sirius lines up with the 3 brightest stars on Orion's belt. These 3 stars are called ';the 3 kings.'; These all point to the place of the sunrise on December 25th... During the winter solstice, the sun continuously moves south. Making shorter days and longer nights. On December 22, the sun is at its lowest point in the sky. Signifying the death of the sun. At this time the sun stops moving south for 3 days. During these 3 days the sun resides in the southern cross constellation(CRUX). On December 25th, the sun moves 1 degree north. Symbolizing, its resurrection. Thus it was said, ';The sun died on a cross, was dead for 3 days, only to be resurrected again.';
no because i would probably be shot
Yes. It would not make them fools. It would make them no longer ignorant and unknowledgeable.

Education is a GOOD thing.
