How much evidence does one need to prove that their religion is false?

Their eyes are blind because they are filled with pride, a sin I might add that caused Satan's fall. Instead of seeking the truth, they listen to man's version, a version that has been handed down and twisted and twisted and twisted, until, they no longer know what truth is. Because of their pride, they fail to simply look in the Bible and let God tell them. It IS VERY CLEAR in the Bible and some of the things that some of these people do is BLATANTLY CLEAR as well, yet, because of their pride, they refuse to see it.

Think about it, if everyone tweaks the Gospel just a bit over 2000 + years, a lot of tweaking gets done and then there is a whole new version. That is why John says in REvelations to NOT ADD OR TAKE AWAY from God's word. Pretty clear he was implying it is perfect as it is, NO help needed.How much evidence does one need to prove that their religion is false?
You can't prove religion, as a whole, is false, it's just that religious people can't proove it's true, and you're assuming, without 'proof' of the nonexistence of a divine being who created this world, that science proves religion to be false. That is incorrect, science proves that the christian perspective of creation is false and invalid. I highly doubt you ever researchHow much evidence does one need to prove that their religion is false?
By their deeds.Especially by what things they do and especially approve....talking biblical John 17:17 says that the bible is the truth so really if the religion doesn't go by what the says and not only what it says but also PRACTICES it then well its not a true one.But just see what it approves and practices and what the bible teaches and see which one is false....
It's not a matter of evidence. It's a matter of wanting to face reality or not.

Any Christian will eventually tell you that you could prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that god doesn't exist, but they would believe in him, anyway.

That's a mental condition, not an analysis of evidence.
So no one who claims to be a Christian is a Christian?

You're not the only one that can read.

'Judge not, lest ye be judged. For by the measure you measure out will it be measured unto you.'

What reason is there to condemn another's faith, unless it is to prop up your own. And who needs to prop up their faith unless they are insecure about it? Isn't that what we see from the Atheists here every day?

What Christ has taught me is that I am flawed, I am imperfect and have many shortcomings, but despite all of this He loves me and has called me as if I were the most perfect capable person in the world. The more I get to know Him, the more I am aware how patient He is with me. And that helps me to be patient with others. There is no Christian group, no sect, no denomination I agree with completely. But I consider myself to be in fellowship with all of them because this is in fact what Christ commands of me. It's also a lot more fun. Otherwise I would be in a denomination of One.
';Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.

Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.';

2 Timothy 2:23-26

';In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

'; 'You will be ever hearing but never understanding;

you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.

For this people's heart has become calloused;

they hardly hear with their ears,

and they have closed their eyes.

Otherwise they might see with their eyes,

hear with their ears,

understand with their hearts

and turn, and I would heal them.' ';

Matthew 13:14-15

';Multitudes, multitudes

in the valley of decision!

For the day of the LORD is near

in the valley of decision.';

Joel 3:14

';He told them, ';The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.';

Luke 10:2

';Sow your seed in the morning,

and at evening let not your hands be idle,

for you do not know which will succeed,

whether this or that,

or whether both will do equally well.';

Ecclesiastes 11:6

';For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.';

Ephesians 6:12

';So he said to me, ';This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.';

Zechariah 4:6

';The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.';

James 5:16b
If I am told something in the Bible, like there is one God and Jesus Christ is His son, then the non-biblical idea of the Trinity is taught as true, I certainly wonder why this is so. Is mankind's version superior to God's?

We must take to heart what the Bible really tells us and shed the dross.

Jesus taught his Apostles all that we need to know, he also turned Paul around from his persecution of Christians and taught him.

We do not, as mainline churches dictate, require the accumulated thoughts of 'Christians' to be given equal status with Scripture.

Any false teaching has to be rejected.
The Bible says that true religion is taking care of the widows and orphans. Any belief system that denies that Jesus was God in the flesh is false.Our whole belief is based on the Birth, Death and Resurrection of Jesus,Emmanuel,God in the flesh.
If it goes against the teachings of Christ in the Holy Bible that is proof enough for me.

I rely on the Holy Spirit for guiding me through those kinds of choices requiring serious discernment.

I have a relationship with Christ, not ';religion.'; ;)

Peace!
which religion?

thank you for the clarification but now we need to establish the type of evidence which would be appropiate and/or persuasive. how would you answer your own question, if you had to?
If that person is truly saved and devoted to Jesus Christ, no amount of evidence that disproves the Most High God will matter. Their faith will outweigh all of it.
none. religion, by its very nature, must inherently be false. no evidence required.

Truth can only be found in ones self
depends...do you mean one specific religion or all religions...even atheism is a religion (declared in 1993.) ?
I've never had to be concerned with this. God is real, and Christ is my savior. To try to disprove His sovereignty is futile.
If they do not need evidence to believe, what good would evidence do to make them disbelieve?
Your bio and your avatar don't seem appropriate to your question... A little more clarity is in order... In my humble opinion, that is...
The only evidence needed is the truth.

God bless.
Some people are so hungry for self worth, they will stop thinking for themselves and believe anything they are told. They forget to place their faith not in man but on Jesus Christ alone.
The short answer is, you're only going to realize we atheists were right at the moment of your death -- but by then, it'll be too late...
More than you possess.
enough to prove don't know
Jesus.....Standing right in front of them.....it would prove that He is the only way to Heaven
none.
how willing are you to hear that your faith isn't perfect
Test a Spirit and Prophet.

Deut.13: 1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

A prophet of God must be in agreement with the words of the prophets and the known word of God.

1John 2: 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Anyone who claims to be a prophet of God must agree Jesus is the Christ the Son of God who is our savior.

2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist

Gal. 1: 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

If an angel or a man preach a different gospel he is not of God.
To determine if a doctrine is of truth, it must firstly be built upon the cornerstone of the faith.

What is that cornerstone? Jesus Christ.

Here is a test on if a doctrine is on the path of righteousness.

I use this scripture, John 3:3 thru 7 as a litmus test to see how far

one is in their spiritual growth or to see of they are of God. I want to

know what you all think? Please do not think I am trying to be anything

more than what I am, and that is a sinner, for the only good in me comes

by my yielding to the will of Jesus. Only when my cup of self will is

empty can I truly be filled with the will of Christ.

In verse 3, Jesus is telling Nicodemus except a man be born again, he

cannot see the kingdom of God...........Now as you examine this, look

at the word born again. Does it not make sense that to be born again,

one must first be born. To prove this, examine the next verse.

In verse 4, Nicodemus asks how can a man be born when he is old. Can

he enter a second time into his mothers womb and be born?......

The important word to examine here is second.......

Nicodemus thought Jesus was talking about two physical births, but

he was not and the proof lies in the next verse.

In verse 5, Jesus says, except a man be born of water and of spirit,

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.......Here our Lord is

telling of two different births, one by water and one by spirit.

When we are born into this world, we are born in a sack of water or

physical birth. Proof that Jesus is talking about physical birth and

spiritual birth can be found in the next verse.

In verse 6, Jesus says that which is born of the flesh is flesh and

that which is born of the spirit is spirit......physical birth,

spiritual birth

So if a man, who is dead in spirit doesn't become reborn, he will

never see the kingdom of God. So when Jesus says a man must be born

again, he is talking about our dead spirit being born again. The

above scripture talks of three births. One in the flesh and two in

the spirit.

Adam died in the day he ate the forbidden fruit according to scripture.

Yet, he lived in the flesh hundred of years more after his sin.

When he sinned, he died spiritually. He sold his soul unto death. And

all of mankind is held under the yoke of original sin and unless a man

is born again, renewed in his spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom

of God.

If a church stands upon this then most likely they are growing in the faith and on the path of righteousness.

To be able to understand the meat of the Word, a must must understand the milk of the Word. A child cannot eat meat, but must be raised on milk and grow in maturity before partaking of meat.
