Many Christians believe this prophecy foretold by Moses to be in regards to Jesus. Indeed Jesus was foretold in the Old Testament, but as will be clear, this prophecy does not befit him, but rather is more deserving of Muhammad, may God praise him.
The verse in discussion is explicit in saying that the prophet will come amongst the Brethren of the Jews. Abraham had two sons: Ishmael and Isaac. The Jews are the descendants of Isaac’s son, Jacob. The Arabs are the children of Ishmael. Thus, the Arabs are the brethren of the Jewish nation.[3] The Bible affirms:
‘And he (Ishmael) shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.’ (Genesis 16:12) ‘And he (Ishmael) died in the presence of all his brethren.’ (Genesis 25:18)The children of Isaac are the brethren of the IIshmaelites. The Biblical evidence that Muhammad is not a false prophet?
It's amazing, the blindness of Christians. Their minds are of stone, so much that they say ';but if Mohamed didn't believe that Jesus blah blah blah'; (the ';blah blah blah'; being their own beliefs) ';then he's a false Prophet.'; The arrogance! of insisting that God does what He will according to %26lt;their%26gt; views, %26lt;their%26gt; agenda.
Be patient, and expect no Christian to listen to you, for there are verryyyyyyyyyy fewwwwwww %26lt;true seekers%26gt; in this life. Most will swear to the death by what they've been taught all of their lives, without opening up their minds, without wiping away everything, without detatching themselves from everything on earth and in heaven. THIS is the true seeker, the one who is detatched from all else save God, even detatched from everything s/he has ever been taught to be true. They are rare, and if they're still Christian, then they are not true seekers.
God sends his Messengers from time to time, appx every 1000 years. It's called Progressive Revelation. Christians have absolutely no concept of this, they've never been taught about ';Messengers'; or the like. All they've been taught and all they believe is that Jesus (pbuh) was God (which he was %26lt;not%26gt;) and there was no one else sent by God.... %26lt;EVER%26gt;. The clergy won't teach anything else. They even believe that God's forgiveness is %26lt;contingent%26gt; upon Jesus' death. Christians, God isn't contingent upon ANYTHING, thankyouverymuch. He can and does forgive with or without ANY kind of blood sacrifice. Jesus came to lead people back to God, he didn't come to be slain.
So be patient, because 1) that's all they know, and 2) there are few few fewwwwww True Seekers in this life.
God bless. : ^ )The Biblical evidence that Muhammad is not a false prophet?
And what of YOUR mistakes when dealing with the Jewish Bible which clearly does not prophesize about Muhammed? Will you own up to it, defend your position, or just ignore it? I'm guessing the later.

Muhammad is a real prophet and the last one. There shall be no other prophet after him and he is the descendant of Abraham( Ibrahim) It is written in the holy quran and Muslim believe this with all their heart
The ';Arabs'; are actually a genetically heterogenous group of people and are not descended from one ancestor.
Therefore, it is impossible to say that all ';Arabs'; are descended from Ishmael.
';Arabs'; are bound together by a common language and culture, but not by common genetics.
Secondly, the Bible does not in any way, shape, or form mention or refer to Mohammed.
Ok , in Genesis17:20-27God foretells Ishmael as a great nation promised to him from God,Then Genesis 25:12-18 Is the Genealogy of Ishmael, any ways, who cares who Mohammad is if he Doesn't believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died for the sins of all the world, and was raised in three days to be the only true and living God, Then he is a false Prophet.
maham,
People have been taking the Bible and using convenient verses to prove whatever they want it to say.
You said that you took the Bible. The Bible is the Old Testament and the New Testament.
Jesus speaks in the New Testament. He said that; there is no other way to get into heaven except by him.
In no way is Mohammed a better example of a prophet than Jesus. In no way is Mohammed a better anything good than Jesus the Messiah.
In Deuteronomy 18:18 Moses was prophecying Jesus.
Your attempt to tie it into the Arabs is refutable. The Arabs are not the carriers of the Birthright of the Hebrews. They are also not carriers of the other promises that went to Isaac or Jacob.
I know it's tempting to bring all the nice things into play, but it just isn't working here.
the problem arises when Islam says Yeshua Messiah was a prophet but not Christ. No religion in the world specifically takes another religion's main figure and says, he was cool, but nothing too special past that, except Islam.
That makes Islam and Mohammed an anti-christ - an instead of saviour.
This is only one of the prophecy, I know at least 15 more that fit Muhammed and those are just from Bible.
Muhammed is mentioned in many other older religious scriptures.
I am so pleased to see you Quote the New testament for your conformation and validation Of your Mohammad. In order to quote these scripture as evidence of truth and proof You must believe them
.I will point out some more for you.
KJV Galatians 1:6-9
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Deuteronomy 18:18
I believe Deuteronomy 18:18 (below) is referring to Jesus.
Jesus was sent into the world by God the Father (Jn.17:18, Jn.12:49 below).
Jesus will tell us all things (Jn.4:25 below). Jesus does nothing of himself, but as God the Father has taught Him; what He should say, and what He should speak (Jn.8:28-29, Jn.12:49-50 below).
Deut.18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren (Jn.17:18 below), like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth (Jn.8:28-29, Jn.12:49-50 below); and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Jn.17:18 As thou (Father) hast sent me (Jesus) into the world (Jn.12:49 below), even so have I also sent them into the world.
Jn.12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me (Jn.17:18 above), he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
Jn.12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Jn.4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
Jn.4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am [he].
Jn.8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
Jn.8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Of course Muhammad (PBUH) is God's true prophet Jesus (PBUH) said that he foretells people of a prophet called ';Ahmad';, one of the prophet's names. But Christians refuse to believe the truth.
According to that logic, a Jewish king is not allowed to be Jewish since it says that a Jewish king must be apointed from amongst their ';brethern';. (Also in Deuteronomy.) Yet, we see that G-d told the prophet Samuel to appoint Jewish kings (first Saul, then David). G-d also explicitly said that the kingship would remain with the descendants of David.
Thus, what is clear is that when it says brethern, it means a Jewish prophet must be Jewish, not Muslim or other. Besides, according to that logic, why can;t a prophet be from Esau? After all, he was also the brother of Jacob.
The truth of the matter is, that the passage in Deuteronomy 18 is not referring to a specific prophet but to prophets in general as is clear to those who actually READ IT IN CONTEXT. (If that seems to be saying that the Christians have it wrong too, well then, yes, they are wrong as well.)
Very true! - .... and Mohamed not only was and is the worlds greatest man ever (worlds greatest revolutionists) Mohamed, today is the worlds most commonly used name. Islam is the fastest growing religion.
Their are also evidence in scriptures of other faiths of the comming of Muhamed.
Deuteronomy 13:6 Kill the false prophet
I don't believe that and never will. If Muhammad descended from the Jews like you said, how come Islam has this total hate for Jews and Christians? Muhammad was and is nothing but a False Prophet.
i read all this and i could double what you say,
in a different light.
in a nutshell....................
in 9 out of ten cases,
all the bullshit that goes on in the world today
is muslim related.

A Very good book to read is
The Choice, Islam and Christianity Volume One. By Ahmed Deedat.
It deals with this very topic.
Part one
what the bible says about Muhummed (PBUH)
part two
Muhummed (PBUH) the natural successor to Christ
Ahmed meets with a dominee named Van Heerden
where he has a friendly debate.
I believe all those books are man-made and false, therefore, I believe Jesus and your Mohamed are all false prophets. You are wasting your time quoting all those chapters and verses...they're all baloney.
Why do you put questions like that up?
Now I get to read all the hate mail that people are posting and get upset at them for being ignorant and stupid jerks. I get what you are saying and it is very interesting though.
Kinda seems like you answered your own question though and raised a discriminatory stir for no reason.
