What if further evidence of the bible being false were to be found?

I've read enough evidence of the bible's falsehood to be convinced many years ago.





But this evidence doesn't seem to be enough for christians.





What if their were another find like the Deadsea scrolls that offered conclusive proof that the whole thing with Jesus was a lie. Evidence that when cross referenced was absolutely irrefutable.

Hmm I have read enough of the evidence with the Bible to know its true. I have read the ones your speak about saying the bible is false, but you know, if you do the homework, you will find it isn't also.What if further evidence of the bible being false were to be found?

You must have read the wrong Bible! The Dead Sea Scrolls, Science, and History proves that the Bible is historically acurate and true. Only those who believe a lie and love their sin more than the truth, will reject God's Word.
They already ignore the deliberate frauds, like the entire book of Deuteronomy, the sixteenth chapter of Matthew and several of the Pauline Epistles.





They are trained to treat these things as unquestionable.





Half of them would claim that Satan planted those books there, some would modify certain beliefs while retaining the core ideas, others would claim that the dating of the books is false, and then claim that the dating of the Biblical books is true, while using the same scientific and literary methods for both.
There will continue to be more so called ';proof'; the Bible is false as time goes on. I am a Christian and there is no amount of your ';evidence'; that will ever convince me that God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit are not real. What do you put your faith in? How do you know it is true? What are you going to do when you have to bow your knees and confess to God that Jesus is Lord to God the Father on Judgment Day? What?
I lost all faith in the bible and any kind of a higher power about two weeks ago.





I didn't stop believing as a result of biblical contradictions, which are many, and when I was a christian, I simply dismissed them as a problem for literalists. I was never a literalist, and treated many of the biblical myths as allegories. I now believe they are complete myths.





Anyway, those christians who didn't let it harm their faith would simply ignore more contradictions or try to explain them away with weak ad hoc hypotheses, just like they do now.





Those who embrace dogma with white knuckles have very little other choice.

But if you have faith(Spiritual faith) you can learn a lot, and see the future(Rev) when you read the Bible, compare verses with other translations to understand the truth.

UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH
There is no chance of converting died in the wool believers, who are somehow convinced that they have access to a way to live forever. The methodology of religious indoctrination, Christian or otherwise, is now a highly refined one, and those who would swallow it all, hook, line and sinker are the percentage who just wont let it go.





There is no scientific endevour to ';disprove'; the existence of any god/gods, or in the case of your question, Jesus.


Science is not in the business of proving or disproving things, but is a method in which to quantify and understand the world around us. The plethora of information gathered to date, from many scientific disciplines, all of which are highly testable, interweave and cross refernece each other, describe the natural world/universe in a way that is highly suggestive, some would say conclusive, that deity worship groups are ultimately the result of the evolution of a questioning mind in an information vacuum, and that history shows that this method of explaining the world around us can be used for manipulation and establishing power structures.





The religious literalists feel they will always have an answer to criticism, but the arguments they put forward are childlike in their interpretation of science and the natural world, and with debating ';cop outs'; like: ';..prove god doesn't exist..'; etc, are flawed, illogical and most notably, predictable, as their narrow minded and out of date concepts and arguments are unable to change or adapt by design.





Yet science marches ever forward, being refined with each new discovery, and now tells an amazing tale that has a greater ';wow'; factor that any religion can dream up, with testable theories should anyone wish to challenge them.





Remember the bible you are familiar with was written, edited and constructed some 100 years after the date of the the crucifiction of the alleged Jesus Christ, the son of an unwed young mother, who to avoid being stoned to death, proclaimed the unborn child to be the son of god.





It's hardly a great leap of faith to comprehend this event as being credible, it's the nonsensical embellishments and denial that are the problem.
I would not say the bible is false.


It is a collection of books, written by different people and all rolled into one.


All the dead sea scrolls indicated was that the little village/monastry near where the scrolls were found could possibly have been the place where John the baptist was educated, it makes no mention of jesus.


Scientists have confirmed that the scrolls are very accurate acording to the jewish tora(the first five books in the bible), but are confused as to the existance of two solid gold scrolls found(the treasure and ledger scrolls) To this day no treasure as mentioned in the scrolls has ever been found in the locations mentioned in the gold scrolls.


If the bible were to be a book of false hoods then i think you would have a hard time prooving it, being as non christian scientists have already prooven the bible 95% accurate.


Only 3 things stand in the way of 100% authenticity,


1/ where are sodom and gamora, is there proof they ever existed?


2/ the ark of the covernent was taken out of israel into africa to safe guard it, where is it?


3/ The truth behind noahs ark, was it really possible and if so hw with the limmited technology back then, did they do it?


These are not critisisms, just 3 events portrayed in the bible that no one, even a christian or catholic can answer with certanty, without looking at or reading/quoting from the bible.
the dead sea scrolls proved the inerancy of Jesus and the bible-before that time the prophecies of Jesus in Isaiah had been discredited as being written by 2 or 3 different people, but it was found intact as one book by one Isaiah.





I have witnessed many who stand against the bible so they can make their own rules who stand in error and with muslim males that take after Mohamad in his taking Aisha a 9 year old little girl who he found as the Hadith says on a swing-at his 40 years old and took with his other wives. she wasnt wearing a veil and in todays faster maturity she would be about 6-7 years old and he would be in prison for life





the real issue is -is Islam good for people?=


Isaiah 9:6 beyond the veil ';Unto us a child will be born, a SON GIVEN, and he will be Almighty God, and the prince of peace.'; Of course rejected by the Athiests and people like you as well as the Muslim who says he believes Isaiah and Jesus-just not what is recorded-the Jewish people who as predicted reject the Messiah who would die to make atonement for their sins (Isaiah 53) tampered with the bible and put in what they reject?-Hello NO NO NO


JESUS IS MY SAVIOR AND BEST FRIEND-AND do you in your attacks against the bible defend the Shiites and Sunni Muslims as since Jan. 2006 they terrorize each other too blowing up each others mosques and dragging out people and murdering them in the streets as recorded in the New York Times.
